Projects implemented by OFFSET DRUK
OFFSET DRUK Sp. z o.o. implements projects co-financed by the European Union, supporting the development of innovative printing products, modern packaging solutions and advanced production processes.
“Implementation of design recommendations as an opportunity to increase the competitiveness of OFFSET DRUK”
OFFSET DRUK SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ has received a grant from the European Union for the project entitled “Implementation of design recommendations as an opportunity to increase the competitiveness of OFFSET DRUK”. The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Eastern Poland 2021–2027 Programme.
Project objective
The main objective of the project is to create a packaging system which not only protects and aesthetically presents the product, but also enables the packaging to be reused as a functional item — for example, as an organiser for medicines, cosmetics or office accessories.
Tasks carried out within the project
Conducting an audit, developing a design strategy and implementing the design strategy — including the design, prototyping and testing phase of the product being implemented, as well as carrying out a design audit and developing a design strategy.
Acquisition of infrastructure enabling the production of a new line of innovative cardboard packaging with the Reuse&Keep function, including the purchase of equipment: a 3-section die-cutting machine; a 400 m/min folder-gluer with packaging quality control; and a sachet feeder.
Effects and results
As a result of the design process, a product innovation will be developed. The new packaging line will have unique, distinctive features that will allow it to be successfully introduced to the market and generate the expected revenues for the applicant. The development of the product innovation will also enable the implementation of innovation in the business process, primarily related to the production process, but also innovation in the sales and distribution model.
Benefits include
- Reducing customer service costs — no need for individual pricing and consultations.
- Shortening order completion times thanks to an automated flow of information and production.
- Increasing the availability of the product offer — new sales channels and new customer segments.
- Revenue diversification — the possibility of selling own products during periods of lower service workload.
- Strengthening the market position — as a modern manufacturer with a digital sales channel and personalisation options.
Target group
Startups, micro-enterprises, online stores and people with disabilities.
“Launching the production of printing products with an innovative varnish coating”
OFFSET DRUK Sp. z o.o. has received a grant from the European Union for the implementation of the project entitled: “Launching the production of printing products with an innovative varnish coating”. The project is implemented under Priority I of the European Funds for Smart Economy 2021–2027 Programme, Measure “SMART Path”.
Project objective
The primary objective of the project is to obtain the capability to manufacture innovative products, including, among others, printing materials such as sample books for paints, plasters, wall and floor panels, catalogues and folders, with realistic reproduction of a 3D surface structure, as well as packaging with a barrier layer replacing foil.
The implementation of the project is the result of two previously planned and successfully completed R&D works carried out on behalf of OFFSET DRUK Sp. z o.o. by the Centre of Papermaking and Printing of Lodz University of Technology and by the Łukasiewicz Research Network — Institute of Polymer Materials and Dyes Engineering.
Project scope
A new printing machine will be purchased as part of the project. After the machine is installed, the production of new, innovative printing products will be launched. The creation of two new jobs directly related to the project is also planned.
Who will benefit from the project?
The project will benefit employees who will participate in the production process of new, innovative products, as well as people managing innovation at OFFSET DRUK Sp. z o.o. Ultimately, the innovative products introduced to the market as a result of the project will be available to the company’s customers. The new offer will be addressed to both domestic and international recipients.
The implementation of the project will make it possible to achieve the following benefits
- Introduction of new innovative products to the Company’s offer — printing materials, such as catalogues and folders, characterised by a realistic 3D surface structure, as well as packaging materials, namely eco-friendly packaging with a barrier coating made without the use of foil and characterised by a significantly shorter biodegradation time.
- Increased competitive position of the company through diversification of the range of products offered.
- Improvement of the natural environment through the use of a new type of dispersion varnish and reduction of foil consumption in the technological process of manufacturing packaging with a barrier layer.
- Increase in sales revenues.
- Acquisition of new customers.
- Entry into new sales markets.
